In 2006, Development Alternatives and Resource Center (DARC)with support from Ford Foundation hosted the successful Arts and Cultural Policy Dialogue with the aim of revising policies, developing policies and promulgating laws to protect heritage, monuments, creative products and artists. In November 2007, DARC also executed Untapped Resources; The Arts and Culture Conference brought to lime light, the rich cultural identity of Nigeria. The success of these projects gave birth to DARC’s Legacy Book Series which produced four books of historical importance to Nigeria namely: Artists of Nigeria (AON); Artists of Nigeria (Centenary Edition); Onobrakpeya- Masks of the Flawing Arrow and National war Museum Umuahia Book (NWMU).
